This processing option is only possible in a rotor, using the snow-ball method without starter nuclei, i.e. creating the nuclei during the process. This is certainly more tedious than dry powder layering, but may be feasible if only small pellets ( 200 – 300 μ) shall are required, as this process seems to run out of control with larger sized pellets. Again, a considerable percentage of microcrystalline cellulose may be required to obtain a reasonable yield, i.e. success may be extensively product dependent.
The structure of directly pelletized is equivalent to powder layered spheres.
