The fluid bed distributor plate SpinFlow® provides the ideal condition for the perfect granule - dense, free-flowing and nearly dust-free - and therefore provides the best possible production process. With its intelligent design the distributor plate meets the highest demands.

Perfect granule

In addition to the regular fluidization pattern, the SpinFlow® distributor plate design initiates a circular product flow pattern. These tangential forces (using the analogue rotor process principle) provide a higher granule density, excellent flowability and less fines.

This fluid bed distributor plate is the key to the perfect granulation process and provides the ideal granule for subsequent process steps.

The conditions of a perfect granule:

  • the right density
  • a narrow particle size range
  • practically no fines
  • potentially no oversized particles

The distributor plate provides increased efficiency exactly where it is needed:

  • The more intense and effective product blending allows higher spray rates and therefore a faster granulation process
  • Due to the minimal content of oversized particles sieving after fluid bed granulation is usually not necessary
  • The higher granule density gives the potential for a higher throughput in your tablet press

Effective product transfer

Apart from conventional discharge alternatives (with trolley / lifting device, bottom discharge, pneumatic side discharge) the SpinFlow® distributor plate is also ideal for side discharge. The circular movement of the product makes effective and fast emptying by means of gravity possible.

No product pass-through

The unique design of the plate prevents the product from passing through the distributor plate when the airflow is stopped. Therefore the granule remains on the plate instead of dropping through to the lower plenum.
Due to the circular fluidization pattern and minimal fines during the process, the SpinFlow® air distributor has a lower fluidization height enabling a space saving design for the fluid bed granulator.

Excellent cleanability

The design of the SpinFlow® makes easy, fast and effective cleaning possible.
It is less prone to contamination and therefore allows longer periods between cleaning cycles.
The plate has an extremely sturdy design and can be cleaned using a high-pressure device.

Flexible application

The SpinFlow® is universally applicable for various processes:

For processes which are already validated, a fast change over is possible with conventional fluid bed distributor plates. Also, most existing processors can be easily converted and retrofitted with the SpinFlow® at any time.
