As the essential significance of vitamins and other nutritional
supplements gains ever greater recognition by consumers, there is
increasing demand for foods to be enriched and upgraded by the addition
of these products. However, fat-soluble substances such as Omega
III-type fatty acids are susceptible to oxidization and so can only
be used in encapsulated form. By microencapsulating (->
Encapsulation of Fluids) these substances in an emulsion and
spraying them onto a carrier or working them into a matrix pellet,
it is possible to achieve an oxidization-resistant dry end product
which can easily be added to foods. We are able to offer a variety
of techniques and solutions to address this type of application.
