Cleaning with highest efficiency

A new parts washing machine from Glatt

This unit, type PWM (Parts Washing Machine), has been developed to measure up to the ever increasing cleaning demands of the pharmaceutical industry and excels by a consequent GMP conform design. The mirror polished washing chamber has no crevices, dead spots or angular corners. To warrant proper drainage of the orbital welded piping systems an inclination of > 3° has been implemented. The vertically installed recirculation pump is equipped with a separate drain.
The cleaning is effected by rotating wings fitted into the lower and upper section of the washing chamber. The optimal interior cleaning of parts is achieved by customized inserts, such warranting individual cleaning results. Subsequent drying is obtained with filtered hot air. The status of the integrated HEPA H 13 filter is permanently monitored.

Dosing of the cleaning agents can either be controlled and monitored volumetrically or by magnetic inductive flow control.

Dosing can be optimally monitored by measuring conductivity, which also applies to the final rinse. With the present trend to sophisticated PAT tools, we can alternatively install a UV VIS system to detect materials, which can not be analyzed by conventional conductivity measurement.

Also the control system is state of the art: A Siemens SIMATIC Panel-PC, type 477B, based on a S7-300 control system. A 12 inch touch-screen allows the operator to visualize and control process data at any time. Cleaning recipes can be easily assembled by means of pre-defined programming steps. The latter is effected by our own experts in order to warrant an optimal versatility. The validation of new recipes can be easily done by the customer himself. The panel PC is equipped with a free 3GB memory, one Ethernet and three USB connections, such allowing to integrate the batch data into an existing control system, to connect a printer or to generate a PDF data base.

The unit can be equipped with differently sized washing chambers and 1 or 2 access doors. The smallest chamber measures (width/depth/height) 640 x 640 x 740, the largest 940 x 1240 x 940 mm. Customized sizes on request.

Our effort to continuously adopt and optimize this system to suit individual targets is supported by close cooperation with various technical universities and research institutions.
