ISPE Conference October 2009

At the end of October 2009, the Turkish chapter of the ISPE organized an educational conference on ”Quality by design through PAT applications” in Istanbul, in which Glatt participated with a table-top exhibit. Zehra Gürol, Turhan Saridal and Michael Schondelmaier had plenty of opportunities to talk with the 100-or-so participants from the Turkish pharmaceutical industry and academia, and to supply them with documentation on Glatt equipment and services and with TTC flyers.

Glatt also supported the Turkish chapter of the ISPE by providing some used lab equipment free of charge (a GPCG 1 fluid bed machine with top-, bottom- and tangential spray processing inserts, a ”TMG” lab-size high shear granulator and a ”GS” rotor sieve) for a new application laboratory in a technical high school in Istanbul. The ISPE organization assisted this national institute in organizing suitable equipment for the process training of staff from the Turkish pharmaceutical industry and for the students of the school.

During the conference, Dr. Ünsal Hekiman, chairman of the Turkish ISPE, expressed his gratitude to the Glatt company for having made this special effort.
