Information on data processing

in accordance with Art. 13 & 14 GDPR 
– Data processing in the context of video conferencing systems and remote support –

We hereby inform you about the processing of your personal data:

Data processing

The Glatt group uses video conferencing systems and remote support, such as Microsoft® Teams and Team Viewer. Your registration data, video and audio data, shared documents and, when using the chat function, also textual information will be processed and partly recorded. We process the information provided by you for the purpose of conducting the video conference, webinar or remote support and for the follow-up of the video conference, webinar and remote support on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 I lit. b GDPR, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR and Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR resp. Art. 13 para. 1 lit. a Swiss Federal Data Protection Act. The Consent is given voluntarily.

Log data are also collected. The logs contain the following information:

  • IP address
  • Date, time and duration of access
  • Browser, operating system, installed plug-ins and screen resolution

In the case of optional recordings, the following data are collected:

  • MP4 file of all video, audio and presentation recordings.

The above-mentioned data will be processed by Glatt on the basis of Glatt´s legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR and Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR resp. Art. 13 para. 1 lit. a Swiss Federal Data Protection Act only for the following purposes:

  • to ensure a smooth connection,
  • ensuring comfortable use,
  • evaluation of the system security and stability
  • for other administrative purposes, and
  • during the recording for the follow-up

We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use. The data will be deleted when they are no longer required to achieve the purpose, at the latest after six months.

Data transfer/ service provider

Your personal data will be transferred to the provider of the video conferencing system or remote support, such as Microsoft Corporation, which operates the service as an external service provider.
These providers are partly located outside the EU/EEA. An adequate level of data protection is ensured by the use of the EU standard contractual clauses.

Retention and deletion of data

Your data will be kept for as long as necessary for the above-mentioned purposes and to comply with legal retention periods.

If the data processing is based on your consent and you object to the data processing, the data will be deleted, provided that no other legal storage obligations oppose this.

Your rights

We hereby inform you, pursuant to Art. 15 et seq. GDPR that you have the following rights under the conditions defined therein: right of access to personal data concerned and the right to rectification or erasure or limitation of processing or the right to object to processing and the right to transfer data. You also have the right of appeal to a data protection supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 of the GDPR. If the processing is based on Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 paragraph 2 lit. a GDPR (consent), you also have the right to revoke consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.
