SOLIDA-1: 2026 ISPE Facility of the Year Awards (FOYA)
Category Winner for Operations – Operational Excellence & Pharma 4.0™
The SOLIDA-1 facility is a next-generation pharmaceutical manufacturing plant that redefines industry standards in modularity, adaptability, digitalization, and automation. With this project, in which Glatt played a key role, Bayer won the ISPE Facility of the Year Awards (FOYA) in no less than two categories: “Operations – Operational Excellence” and “Pharma 4.0™”.
As system integrator, Glatt was particularly responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and commissioning of the process equipment. Particularly noteworthy is the development of the fully automated intralogistics system (Production Flow Control – PFC). This is enabled by Glatt’s unique software solution that intelligently coordinates robot-based material flow throughout the process. In addition, Glatt ensured the seamless integration of both its own and third-party equipment into the fully automated shop floor.
